I’m a walking, sitting and talking Apple ad

I don’t know if others have noticed this, but a glowing white Apple logo® can’t be missed when sitting in a coffee shop. Everyone notices. Always.

MacBook GlowSometimes, people with an iPod or MacBook purposely sit next to me just to show that they’re “in”. It’s like a secret society. Cool people only.

Yesterday, at my favorite coffee shop, a french man pointed out how small my computer was, then he asked “what kind of computer is that?”. At first I wanted to punch him in the face, but that’s not the Apple way, plus I was on iChat having a video conversation with my 3-month old niece. Being the nice guy I am, I later opted to give him my sales pitch explaining why it’s so much better than his big ol’ Dell.

Everywhere I go, I seem to be carrying some kind of visible Apple hardware. And if it’s not visible, then you can probably hear me talking about my Mac. When I open my wallet, the first thing you see is an Apple sticker. When I’m taking the metro, you’ll almost always see me playing with my iPod, white earbuds in place. My motorcycle is a rolling Apple advertisement with stickers on both sides. My phone, which is not even an iPhone, also has an Apple sticker.

I love Apple. I love their products. I love their beautiful design and solid OS. In my opinion, they should have been #1 on the Fortune 100 list. Have you been to apple.ca? It’s so user-friendly! Qualcomm sucks. Ok maybe not, but their website really does.

Macintosh ClassicSince I’ve had my MacBook (Sept 2006), I have converted almost a dozen people from the PC world. Unfortunately some people (Serge) still thinks Mac’s suck. It’s too bad because he’s really missing out.

Anyways I don’t really know the purpose of this post, only to say that I really love Apple Inc. and the joy they have brought me since I first used a Macintosh Classic back when I was 10 years old… 16 years ago!!!!!!!!!

What about you? Are you also a walking Apple ad? Share your stories in the comments below.

Apple, iPod, iChat, MacBook and Macintosh are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. I do not work for Apple Inc. but will gladly accept the offer were it presented to me.
