Seth’s marketing sucks! Where’s my book?

To start, I just want to say that I think Seth Godin is an absolute genious for telling stories about the most obvious ways of doing this thing they call “marketing”. He is very eloquant and just plain brilliant!

On the other hand, I have a problem with his big head. He thinks he can go around announcing stuff without announcing stuff. You see, he recently introduced his latest blog and book “The Dip“. I took the time to read through the posts in reverse-chronological order, only to find an article titled A few free galleys. He wrote:

If you’ve got a blog, if you think your readers might want a review and you’d be willing to take a look at The Dip, drop Allison an email. Let her know what you write about and be sure to include your mailing address.

Followed by:

[Yikes, they're all gone. That was quick.]

Well, Mr. Godin. Can you please explain why I wasn’t given the chance to review your new book? Actually, wait! Don’t answer that! I already know what you’ll say: “who are you? you’re not a prominent blogger…”.

Well, just so you know, I’m wearing a purple shirt today and I’ve been sneezing all week. How’s that for remarkable?

Ok ok. The point i’m trying to get to, and trust me, I do have a point… it’s that I think Seth is great and I’d really like a copy of that book… and honestly, who wants to wait until May 10?
