Akismet just doesn’t do it!
I don’t know if other blog owners are having the same troubles as me, but Akismet catches over 100140 SPAM messages per day.
Right now you’re probably saying: “well it caught them, right? so what’s the problem?”.
Well the problem is that sometimes people’s comments (genuine comments) get caught in the mess. To avoid that, I find myself “filtering” the “spam”, which defeats the purpose.
I need to find another solution to this.
I’m looking into changing the URL for posting comments because the spam comments don’t increase my site statistics… strange…
Anyone else experienced/solved this problem?

I’ve disabled signup to post comments, temporarily until I find a better solution. Sorry for the inconvenience.
